Stuart Turton took up woodturning a number of years ago after
contracting a rare form of blood and bone cancer. He quickly realised that although he loved all aspects of woodturning,
Pen making was his real passion. Now, having turned literally thousands of pens and pencils over the years, Stuart
continues to stretch his abilities and create evermore intricate and shapely pen designs.

Stuart and his wife, Joanne, decided upon starting TurnedWritePens when Stuart's illness began
to affect their financial circumstances. Wishing to generate just enough income to enable Stuart to continue
with his passion for pen turning, it was decided all items made would be priced as low as was possible. All
the handmade pens and turned work displayed within this website were a joy to create. Stuart and Joanne take great satisfaction
